ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) is an investment fund that replicates the movements of the market index or bond index. ETFs are listed and traded on the Stock Exchanges in the same way as stocks are. ETF is considered a passive investing option.

ETFs help diversify securities products and provide more tools for investors. However, like any other financial product, ETFs have certain constraints and risks that need to be taken into consideration.

There are two ways to buy and sell an ETF certificate:

  1. Secondary trading: ETFs are traded exactly the same as stocks on the HOSE. Customers use the account at FPTS and EzTrade system (web-based online trading platform) or EzMobileTrading (mobile trading application for iOS and Android platforms) to buy and/or sell an ETF.
  2. Primary trading: Customers can swap the creation basket for ETF certificates. Customers can conduct primary trading via FPTS.
